Today with the soaring fuel cost along with increasing food prices, how do families take those much desired summer vacations? With a little time to think creatively it can be done in central and northern California.
Home based business owners have flexible schedules that allow them time to plan short trips on days that people with jobs can't. Stay at Home moms can search on the Internet for local and short distant places of interest for the family to go for a few days.
Living in the California Central Valley, we have a lot of neat places to drive to and stay for a few days. I'll name a few areas that we enjoy such as: Monterey and Santa Cruz by the ocean, San Francisco, Jackson, Sutter Creek, The Mother Lode area, and Yosemite. There are many, many, more close by areas that make great vacationing spots.
As a stay at home business owner, I carry plenty of business cards, fliers, brochures and other articles promoting my business. I am never on vacation from my work at home business.
I leave my business materials on bulletin boards, a card tucked between the condiments at the restaurant table where we eat, in the restrooms, and other places where prospective customers or business partners might find them.
I enjoy building my home base business organization locally as much as possible and these trips become a part of my business expense to the extent that the law allows.
Vacationing in Your backyard this summer will not only bring you some great time away from home but it can also provide you with greater business for your home based business!
